I was going to scrap xp, but upon reflection, i am able to skin ships any way i see fit.

I unfortunately cannot scale up a ship powers as their all set to a default level. However i can reskin them.

This means what would appear to be a star fleet frigate which has gained experience could in fact be upgraded to a more powerful vessel, yet retain the look of the original vessel.

As for programability, that's still a work in progress, gonna try and pin that down tonight to have added effects, warping in and cloaking... damn thing wont let me cloak anyone... grrr

aha then you can do self descruct? lets let all romulan battles end in alien ships exploding for no visible reason and then blame the damn romulans

I think upscaling would make it too complicated. Shame as I like the idea of experience.

Upscaling a vessel and keeping the look of the original vessel is possible. It means a lot of paperwork though. Still contemplating it.

I imagine much to the joy of everyone we will be keeping the statsitics for the vessels you have and the experience system we have in place.

one exception will be speed of ships, this is now designated as combat speed and only of use in space battles.
