I'm going to start a thread showing all the updates for the game as i process them, give us all an idea of how the games processing, we go live on the 16th september, i.e. first turns must be submitted no later than when i wake up saturday morning so don't worry if your a little late, just send me a PM or email to explain. Smile

UPDATE: Some orders now have an extra part to them called ship Order, this allows you to specify if a fleet will Engage/Flee or Hail and when it comes into contact with any other faction. If you Engage then this means you will be attacking the enemy fleet until you are down to 50% hull then you will attempt to flee. If you Flee then you will run from any contact with another faction. Should you manage to escape this will put you in a random sector from your original point of origin within 1 space. If you Hail then you attempt to open communication with the other faction, if they have selected to hail then you will both stay in that sector without combat as you open hailing frequencies as peaceful words are exchanged.

UPDATE: The United Federation of Planets map and turn sheet is all set up and ready for a player to take control off.

UPDATE: Breen ships added, all classes except heavy cruisers can now be researched by that race. Breen ships no longer have type: Multi

UPDATE: Breen Star Map and Turn sheet fully completed and now ready for a new players.

UPDATE: Sheliak Star map and turn sheet fully completed and now ready for new players.

UPDATE: Full Sheliak star ship list completed, full research of ships can now be done by Sheliak. Ship type of Multi for sheliak ships removed.

UPDATE: Slight modification to ship combat made on Forum: Rules: Ship Combat

UPDATE: Vulcan ship list updated, now full ship selection and multi type for ship removed, turn sheet and star map now complete as well.

UPDATE: Blackholes affect scanner reliability within a Blackhole sector and the surrounding sectors to a lesser degree.

Im back!!!

UPDATE: United federation of Planets application by new player made, just awaiting confirmation. (email address added to race list in preparation).

UPDATE: Another player pending choice of faction as UFP just snatched away before they could claim it, Just waiting for them to sign on to forums and choose another race. then ill add their email address and send out the appropriate turn sheets.

UPDATE: Ktarians fully updated, full ship listings available for research.

UPDATE: Trill renamed to The Trill Commonwealth.

UPDATE: Error on orders for buildings amended, all buildings can only be built once in each system, they can however be upgraded. This is as long as you have a Food farm of the corresponding level or higher and you have the energy slots to power them up.

UPDATE: New action added 'Annex system' to the Rules forum.

UPDATE: Description of Nebula under 'reading star map' modified.

UPDATE: Description of Contested territories(Neutral Zone) added under 'reading star map'.

UPDATE: Trill player has taken control of the federation instead Smile

UPDATE: Research time of all Mk1 vessels has been halved, if you wish to research a Mk 2 version of a vessel you need the next ship type in the following order Scout --> Destroyer --> Cruiser --> Heavy Cruiser --> Command Vessel --> Strike Cruiser.
example: You have a destroyer Mk1, you want to increase it too Mk2, first you must have researched the Cruiser Mk1 before the option to research the destroyer Mk2.

UPDATE: New orders on Actions section of forum, you can now muster ground troops for defense or invasion. A troop transport can ferry them from system to system.

UPDATE: New updates to the cost of structures, many are now lower in cost.

UPDATE: As of turn 4 results excess production will be converted to credits. This can be used to help with research or production.

UPDATE: As of Turn 4 special unique structures will be available to each race to build. Major races (Ferengi, Federation, Romulans, Klingons and Cardassians) will have a wider variety than the other races. The minor races will have a singular unique structure. Smile

UPDATE: race specific structures now available to every empire, Major races (Federation, Romulan, Klingon, Ferengi and Cardassians) have multiple structures and a clear advantage with these structures. The other Empires have a singular structures varying in benefit but quite powerful compared to the myriad of structures the major powers possess.

UPDATE: The ferengi player and I are working on a script that will help with processing turns and viewing your maps, even the battles will be computer moderated at some point, but we are still in our infancy. Primarily this is to aid me as soon turns will get overwhelming and i dont want to much down time between orders, but that all depends on the roleplay on the boards i suppose. Anyway just letting you know. Wink

UPDATE: Small modifications to the actions made, nothing that affects the game at present, one of the changes is a length must be specified for non aggression/friendship/affiliation or alliance treaties.

UPDATE: Star map on the forum is working now. This will be updated each turn to show the empires as they grow or decline depending on activities within the alpha quadrant. Enjoy!

UPDATE: Each point of Dilithium you have gives your empire 500 pts of ships/outposts/starbases. You can work out your current points by adding up your ship/outpost/starbase maintenance.

UPDATE: Trade routes actions description amended slightly.

UPDATE: Ferengi trade routes (Smuggling) not done by a friendship treaty or greater can not be raided at this time. Only declaring war will allow these trade routes to be hunted down and stopped.
