Gorn merchants have been spreading rumours about a conflict near the borders of their territory. Two vessels apparently engaged in combat after a first contact situation gone wrong. Debris has been detected by the Gorn on long range scanners. They were however able to capture a image of the surviving vessel apparently badly damaged limping away from the battle.



Stardate 2252.231
The Breen Confederacy has issued a official statement.
"We the Breen Confederacy will not stand idly by as others encroach on our territory, we will act swiftly and with aggression on any attempt to penetrate our space."
The ominious statement has sent varying waves of fear throughout the Alpha Quadrant, who it is aimed at or what sort of aggression will be used by The Confederacy is at this time unknown...



Stardate 2253.041
New colonies have been established throughout the Alpha Quadrant, each race taking its first steps into the stars. Yet as the colonies are formed an equal amount of military outposts are starting to appear. Some claim these are simply for research and to help explore the stars but many comment if that is so... why are they so heavily armed?

A documentary on the eating habits of the unknown Sheliak race has begun circulating around the Quadrant, the Sheliak goverment are apparently furious and have issued a statement that Sheliak do not eat the spawn of other races and nor do the endulge in eating from large troughs.


Stardate 2253.299
In an unexpected move the Romulan Star Empire and the Ferengi Alliance have agreed to a official Friendship Treaty in which both Empires will be able to trade with each other. This also agrees that neither Empire will stray into each others territory or the Treaty will be broken. As the galaxy digests this news many are concerned this could be the beginning of a formal alliance that could dominate the Alpha quadrant... and many ask if they were to truely unite who would stop them?
